Hopefully everyone is having as good a summer as we are - we've even had a few days of hot weather here in the UK! This is mostly a reminder blog post: our Highland Miniatures fantasy range and Across the Realms sci-fi miniature ranges will only be available until midnight on the last day of July (wednesday). By the time you read this post, there should be a week-long 10% off sale running to give you that extra incentive to pick up anything you've been on the fence about :)
With regards to the upcoming Ghamak ranges being added to the store, we've actually put this on hold for a while (and this is where the title of this post becomes relevant finally!). Having taken a look around the internet, there doesn't seem to be anybody currently offering the full sci-fi or fantasy range from Ghamak, which is curious as they have a large number of merchants. This has us worried about the long term viability of having those ranges up for sale without a certain Games company taking steps to have them removed, and one of the main downsides to hosting on Wix is that if they receive even a single infringement notice on one of our items, the entire website gets taken offline for the 48 hours it takes to resolve the issue. As you can probably appreciate, having the webstore completely down for a minimum of 48 hours isn't particularly great for us! So we're doing a deep dive into Ghamak's range (as beautifaul as they all are) and getting a better picture of the risks of doing business with them. While we wait for that, we DO have plenty of new items coming in the next week or so, including brand new categories for
'Plague Warhosts' and 'Demon Hunters', new upgrade bundles for some of the lesser supported chapters (Raven Knights = best Knights) and upgrade kits for characters - all at our usual, lowest-on-the-web prices. Seriously, not only are we the cheapest online, we've also never had a price increase!
Finally, our in house sculptor is currently working on a secret project for us that, if it works, will be a huge step along the road to having the biggest range of custom kits known to mankind! The three new jump pack variants that they made for us as a 'sculpt test' before they were hired are now up for sale, and appear to be doing quite well. They also inform me that, once they have the time, there will eventually be chapter specific variants of each jump pack, with unique details and decorations to help them stand out on the battlefield. Looking forward, we are searching for a creator that specializes in vehicle upgrades, as this is one of our weakest categories at the moment, and hopefully we'll find the right creator and have them up and added in no time.
